What’s New – Commercial Valuation^® R1.17

Introduction

The latest release of Commercial Valuation^® (CV) includes new functionality along with updates to current functionality. This document serves as a high-level guide to the changes that have been made as part of the Commercial Valuation 1.17 release.

New Functionality

Multi-Factor Authentication

Cotality has added multi-factor authentication (MFA) to the system. MFA is an optional service that can be enabled on a client-by-client basis. Each user can register up to two devices to use for MFA, either a cell phone or an email address.

Terms of Service Update

Cotality has modified the terms of service as part of the MFA rollout. Commercial Valuation may collect and store the users’ email address and phone number. The update to the Terms of Service provides the user awareness of this change in data collection.

Add Currency Designator to Reports

Cotality has added the currency designator (USD/CAD) to the reports. The designator existed on the User Interface screens but was missing from the reports. The reports now have either USD or CAD based upon the user currency settings.

Save Indicator

Cotality has added a Save Indicator to the Commercial Valuation User Interface. This indicator is displayed when there are pending changes for the valuation. This is a reminder to the user that they must save their changes prior to closing the browser.

Updates to Existing Functionality

Several updates to existing Commercial Valuation functionality have been addressed in the Commercial Valuation R1.17 release.

Help Updates

For the effective date in the help, the date format is shown in the American date format instead of Canadian for French version (Estimate Expiration Date field). This has been corrected.

Add/Edit User Details

Incorrect validation messages are displayed under End Date field on Add/Edit user dialog. When the end date is prior to the start date and incorrect message was displayed. This has been corrected with this release.

Tooltip Indicators

Several tooltip indicators appear on the Building Insight Summary page but the data that should be displayed with the tooltip is missing. This has been corrected.
